The sky afire...

I know there are a million sunset pictures out there but I think there's a good reason for that. There's something magical about a really good sunset. When the sky is all afire with colour and you can't help but admire it.

The other night I stepped out onto the deck to let the dogs back in and the sky was just amazing. I wished so badly that I was over by the water to capture it from there but, even though we're close to the water, I knew it would be over before I got there. So I settled for some shots from home. And I'm glad that I did.

So this week we headed off to check out our new surroundings. And found the pumpkin fields. Pumpkins as far as the eye can see.

Okay, not quite that far but there are a whole lot of pumpkins out there!

So the other day we went for a little walk down by the river, just enjoying the nice day. The monster was having great fun, jumping as the gulls flew by and getting into everything within reach. Thank goodness for his backpack with the leash attached! Because he definitely wanted to jump on into the river and we just weren't going to play that game.

I took a few pictures along the way and was enjoying all the sounds, including the rustling of the grass in the breeze so I naturally had to try and get a picture of it. I was trying to catch the motion of the grass and the monster was surprisingly cooperative with my attempts!

The running of the ducks...

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I posted anything here. How does so much time just slip away?

Anyway, I'm trying to get back into "it", so to speak. And I'm even going to try and takes pictures of things other than the light of my life. But I had to post this one.

Taken at a recent wedding, the monster man was utterly and completely fascinated by the ducks and kept trying to capture one.

I have no idea what he thought he was going to do with it if he caught one but fortunately, he never did.
